Empowering Student Interns to Create Engaging Social Media Content
Elizabeth Ann Moon, Marketing and Digital Content Specialist at Stony Brook University's Career Center

This session will share how to structure an intern team focused on content development and tips for organizing a big picture marketing and communications plan for you to bring back to your institution.  Learn how to transform your social media pages from a basic promotional tool to comprehensive branding channels that tell your career center’s story and scale your educational efforts.  Building a team of interns and empowering them to create content that highlights your office while engaging students is a key strategy to improving your social media presence.  You will also provide students access to an amazing on campus experiential opportunity.  They will develop their technical skills, such as graphic design, video editing, and writing, in addition to important career competencies such as communication, teamwork, and leadership.
